Appendix C: IP Downloading
General Information
The IGSMV can be used to provide high-speed up/downloading to Honeywell VISTA control
panels. This allows site maintenance independent of central station monitoring, and
modification to sites globally via the internet. At this time, some control panels support
Direct Wire downloading and some control panels support downloading through the ECP
bus. Residential control panels that support IP downloading (e.g., VISTA-20P) are connected
to the IGSMV through the ECP bus. Currently, commercial controls such as VISTA-128BP
and FBP support IP downloading through use of a Direct Wire connection (using the trigger
cable).

Downloading may only be performed if a technician is at the site.
Direct Wire Setup
To perform IP up/downloading using Direct Wire, the IGSMV requires that Direct Wire
Downloading over IP programming is enabled (Direct Wire Y/N), and that the ECP device
address on which the IGSMV communicates with the control panel as a keypad is entered
(Keypad Address). Additionally, the IGSMV must be connected by cable as shown below to
the control panels listed.
NOTES:

For Direct Wire IP downloading on Commercial Fire panels (e.g. VISTA-128FBP,
FA1700C), Program Field 3


2. This feature is not available if device is set for zone trigger mode.
