Power supply
Connecting the power supply voltage
Connect the supply voltage to the terminal (U
ext
1) of the power supply unit art. no. 013960. Ensure
that the polarity is correct!
The MB-Secure IP USB communication module must always be supplied with
power via the connection terminal. A power supply via USB is not permitted.
When installing the MB-Secure IP USB communication module or the MB-Secure
4G IP USB extension module, the mains filter part no. 050510
must
be installed.
In the housings, this can be mounted instead of the existing distribution block.

Grounding and shielding
The earthing bridges DB2 and DB3 on the PCB establish a capacitive coupling between the pro-
tective earth conductor and the system operating voltage.
Groundstraps closed: (condition on deliv-
ery)
As a rule, this connection offers the best
protection against coupled-line interfer-
ence and interference caused by cable
shielding discharge.
Groundstraps open:.
The capacitive link to the system's opera-
tional voltage is disrupted by the opened
groundstraps.
This connection may be appropriate if
the protective conductor and/or the cable
shields themselves are subject to interfer-
ence and there is a fear that the interfer-
ence will be transferred to the system.

Note on the reanimation connection
Wiring of the reanimation unit
The resuscitation unit is located on the MB-Secure IP USB communication module. The reanima-
tion unit can control the connected transmission device by switching the supply voltage on and off.
This will result in an automatic re-set of the GSM terminal with re-start in the event of a failure in
the GSM network or an internal failure.
4G transmission module as an integrated component with art. no. 057810.
The reanimation unit communicates automatically when the 4G transmission module PCB is
attached.
RFW-3000 (in preparation)
The reanimation unit is wired via the output "Reanimation for RFW-3000". Further instruc-
tions can be found in the installation instructions for the Redundant Radio Path RFW-3000
(in preparation).
When wiring the reanimation unit, look for a common reference potential (0V) of
the transmitter and reanimation unit.
