Mounting and Connection Instructions MB-Secure 4G IP USB / IP USB Extension
Module
The connection to the MB-Secure control panel
is made via the USB master socket on the MB-
Secure processor board.
Only use the special USB
connection cable supplied with
the communication modules for
the connection. This connection
cable has an additional lead-out
connection line for the 0V con-
nection.
Solder this connection line to the female con-
nector of the power supply connection line,
which is connected to the MB-Secure processor
board, with the 0V connection pin.
The adjacent illustration shows the connection
of the connector cable.
The communication module comes with a total
of 4 folding ferrites in the accessory bag. Mount
a small folding ferrite over the USB connec-
tion cable as shown in the adjacent illustration.
Mount the second small folding ferrite over the
outgoing Ethernet cable which is led out of the
panel housing. If another Ethernet cable is led
out of the panel housing, use the third folding
ferrite for this cable.
Position the folding ferrites in the area of the
cable entry opening / shield strip.
The fourth folding ferrite has a flat design and is
therefore optimised for the cable entry of several
cables in housings.
If possible, position this folding ferrite in the area
of the cable entry opening / shield strip and
route all incoming and outgoing signal and BUS
cables through this component.
For final assembly, fix all folding ferrites using
the cable ties provided. For fastening, use a
mechanically fixed fastening point e.g. screw
bolt, perforated plate of the earthing strip, etc.
