DRIVE CHAIN SLIDER
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 45.
Check the “Chain Slider” (1) for wear.
The chain slider must be replaced if it is wor n
to the “Wear Limit Line” (2). For replacement,
visit your nearest Honda dealer.

2. Rear fork bushing - this can be checked
by pushing hard against the side of
the rear wheel while the vehicle is
on a support block. Feeling for looseness
of the fork bushings.
3. Carefully inspect all front and rear
suspension fasteners for tightness.
SIDE STAND
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 45.
Check the “Side Stand Spring” (1) for
damage and loss of tension, and the side
stand assembly for freedom of movement.
If the side stand is squeaky or stiff, clean
the pivot area and lubricate the pivot bolt
with clean engine oil.

FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION
INSPEC TION
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 45.
1. Check the front fork assembly by
locking the front brake and pumping the
fork up and down vigorously. Suspension
action should be smooth and there must
be no oil leakage.
