MAINTENANCE

THROTTLE STOP SCREW

ENGINE OIL STRAINER SCREEN

Drain the engine oil.

Remove the oil strainer screen cap, spring and oil strainer
screen.

Clean the oil strainer screen thoroughly.

Check the screen for damage and the O-ring for damage
or deterioration.

Replace the oil strainer screen if necessary.

Install the oil strainer screen, spring and cap.

Tighten the oil strainer screen cap.

TORQUE: 20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 14 lbf·ft)

Fill the crankcase with the recommended engine oil
(page 3-8).

ENGINE IDLE SPEED

NOTE:

•

Inspect and adjust the idle speed after all other
engine adjustments are within specifications.

•

The engine must be warm for accurate inspection and
adjustment.

Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
Stop the engine and place the scooter on its center stand
on level ground.

Lift up the body cover (page 2-3).

Connect a tachometer.
Start the engine, check the idle speed and adjust by
turning the throttle stop screw if necessary.

IDLE SPEED: 1,700 ± 100 min

Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
