Servicing Your Honda

Fuel Tank Removal

Refer to

Safety Precautions

on page 19.

Removal
1. Turn the fuel valve OFF.
2. Remove the right side shroud bolts (1).
3. Remove the right side shroud (2) while sliding

it forward.

(1) right side shroud bolts
(2) right side shroud

4. Remove the left side shroud bolts (3), collar

(4) and left side shroud (5).

(3) left side shroud bolts
(4) collar
(5) left side shroud

5. Remove the seat (page 29).
6. Pull the breather tube (6) out of steering stem

nut.

7. Unhook and remove the fuel tank band (7).
8. Disconnect the fuel line (8) from the fuel

valve.

9. Remove the right and left side fuel tank

bolts/washers (9) and fuel tank.

WARNING

Gasoline is highly flammable and
explosive. You can be burned or seriously
injured when handling fuel.

• Stop the engine and keep heat, sparks
