1. Connect the red lead to „V Ω mA” socket, the black lead to the COM socket.
2. Set the „Function Selection” switch to the position “ ”.
3. Connect the test leads to two points of the circuit to be tested. If the resistance is less than 30 Ω ± 20Ω , a buzzer sounds.
TRANSISTOR HFE MEASUREMENT
1. Set the „Function Selection” switch to hFE positions
2. Check if the transistor is PNP or NPN type and locate the emitter, base and collector wires. Insert the cables into the corresponding
holes of the hFE socket.
3. The meter will display the approximate value of hFE under 10μA and CE 2.8V base current conditions.
BATTERY TESTING
1. Connect the black lead to the COM socket and the red lead to the „V Ω mA” socket (Note: The polarity of the red lead is positive „+”).
2. Depending on the type of battery being tested (1.5 V, 9 V, 12 V), set the range switch to the needed BATT range.
3. Connect the test leads to the battery under test.
4. The measurement value will appear on the display. The polarity of the connection of the red lead will be indicated.
BATTERY AND FUSE REPLACEMENT
5. The fuse rarely needs to be replaced and burns almost always due to operator error.
6. If the display shows „
„, that means the battery needs to be replaced.
7. To replace the battery and the fuse (500 mA/250 V), remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the housing, remove the old battery and
replace with a new one. Be careful to observe the polarity.
