7. USE
7.1 Before use
Before the first use, clean the device in accordance with point 8 Cleaning and
care.
Caution!
The device can emit a slight burning or smoky smell the first time it is used.
This is normal and short-lived. Just provide for adequate ventilation.
Before turning the device on, place it on a flat, solid surface resistant to high
temperature.
7.2 Turning the device on/off
1. To turn the device ON, connect it to the mains with power supply specifica -
tions matching those provided on the device’s label.
2. To turn the device OFF, disconnect it from the mains.
The device becomes energized immediately after it is connected to the mains.
Caution!
Connect the device to a nearby easily accessible mains socket so that it can
be disconnected in the event of an emergency.
Caution! The indicator light may go on and off during warming. This is normal,
indicating the action of the thermostat responsible for keeping the tempera-
ture constant.
7.3 Operation — browning
1. Prepare the products for browning. The products must not be wrapped in
aluminium foil, paper etc.
2. Place the device on a dry, stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from
any sources of splashing water.
3. Apply a thin layer of grease on the heating plates.
4. Slide a heat-resistant container under the grease drip funnel (container not
included).
5. Insert the plug into the power outlet. The device will start heating. The red
indicator light showing device operation and the green indicator light sho-
wing device readiness for browning will turn on.
6. When the temperature is reached (the heating time is approx. 3 min), the
green light will turn off.
7. Open the lid.
