8.1 GENERAL
Good and regular cleaning of the appliance ensures the safety of use and prolongs
the life of the product.
Warning! Before cleaning and maintaining the appliance, turn off and
unplug it from the power source to prevent an electric shock and/or
burns.
1. Remove dust with a dry cloth or brush.
2. Remove persistent dirt with a damp cloth or a mild detergent.
3. Never immerse the kettle and its base in water or other liquids.
Caution! Do not use any strong chemicals, alkalis, abrasives or disinfectants:
otherwise the appliance housing may become damaged!
Caution! Do not immerse the appliance or its dock in water or other liquids.
8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
7.4 BOILING WATER

Fill the kettle to the desired level. Do not overfill to avoid splashing or spilling.
The water level gauge helps measuring the desired volume of water. Always
make sure that the water level is between the MIN and MAX mark. Remem-
ber to shut the lid once filled.
Caution! Fill the appliance with fresh, cold water only.
2. Put the kettle on its power base and turn off the appliance as shown above.
Once the water is boiled, the appliance will automatically switch off. You
may now remove the stainless steel cordless electrical kettle from the power
base.
3. Leave the appliance to cool down for approx. 15 to 20 minutes before boiling
water again. Do not press the On/Off switch when the kettle is cooling down,
otherwise the switch may become damaged.
4. Remove the kettle from the power base and unplug the power cord.
5. Keep the lid closed at all times when boiling water
Caution! Do not remove the kettle from the power base until it turns off or you
turn it off.
