• When the device is not in use, always remove the batteries. This will prevent
damage to the device in the event that electrolyte leaks from the batteries.
• Remove spent batteries from the device immediately.
• Electrolyte may leak out of spent batteries, causing damage to the device.
• If you touch acid from a battery, rinse your hands under running water. If
any acid gets into your eyes, contact a doctor. The acid contained in the
battery may cause irritation or burns.

Swallowing a battery may have fatal consequences! Keep batteries
away from children and pets. Seek medical assistance immediately
if a battery is swallowed.
7.2 Weighing
1. Place the scale on a level, stable and dry surface. In order to ensure a correct
reading, do not place the scale on a rug/ carpet. An uneven surface can affect
result accuracy.
CAUTION!
Do not stand on the scale with wet feet. Always stand on the scale with
bare, dry feet (take off your shoes and socks).
2. Step on the scale with both feet. The scale will switch on automatically. Wait
for the measurement. The digits will start flashing before the final result of
weighing is displayed.
CAUTION!
It is recommended that you stand still during weighing.
3. The scale will turn off automatically if idle for approximately 30 seconds.

Changing the weight units
After switching on the scale you can change the weight unit using the “up” button
under the display screen. Each press of the button toggles the unit of weight be-
tween kg (kilograms) and lb (pounds). When you change the weight unit, the unit
