Adjusting the Extra Grip (Picture G)
The extra grip (

) can be moved to different positions, so that you can adjust the angle
to suit your individual requirements.
1. Release the locking wheel (

) to such an extent that the extra grip can easily be
adjusted.
2. Move the extra grip to the position you want.
CAUTION
! The extra grip must engage
in one of the specifi ed steps!
3. Twist the locking wheel to secure it in order to fi x the extra grip in the set position.
Inserting / Detaching the Battery
PLEASE NOTE!
■
Before inserting the battery, check whether the contacts are clean and clean
them if necessary.

Inserting:
Slide the charged battery onto the socket (
3
) of the motor unit (

). When
you do this, make sure that it fi ts correctly on the contacts (
Picture H
).

Detaching:
To detach the battery, press together the two release buttons on the
battery and pull it out.
Before using the battery, it is
essential
that you familiarise yourself with the
safety notices and the operating instructions for the battery (model number
ZDBP20012001).
Use
PLEASE NOTE!

Always pay attention while using the device. Do not use it while you are tired
or under the infl uence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention
may result in injury.
■
It is essential to wear suitable clothing, e.g. long trousers and sturdy footwear.
We also recommend wearing work gloves and hearing protection if necessary.
■
Always guide the device with two hands. Always keep the handle and the extra
grip dry, clean and free of grease to ensure that the device can be held securely
and fi rmly during use.
■
IMPORTANT: Remove the fi xing rod from the axis and the spanner from the
nut before putting the device into operation.
■
Before using the device, clear from the surface which is to be processed any
coarse dirt and objects lying around which may be spread around by the device
or become caught in the device.
■
After the device has been switched off, the brush carries on rotating for a few
seconds. Wait until the brush has come to a complete standstill.
■
Do not use the device without the protective guard fi tted!
