PLEASE NOTE!
■
Make sure that the battery is not inserted in the motor unit while accessories are
being attached / detached.
Connecting / Taking Apart the Telescopic Rod and Motor Unit
1. Release the safety lever (

).
2. Plug the motor unit (
IV
) as far as it will go into the mount of the telescopic rod.
It must engage audibly (
Picture C1
).
3. Flip over the safety lever to fi x the connection in place. You must hear and feel it
engage (
Picture C2
).
Proceed in the reverse order to take it apart.
Please note:
To be able to pull the motor
unit off the telescopic rod, you must also press together the two locking lugs (
Pic-
ture C3
).
Attaching the Guide Wheel, Protective Guard and Brush
1. Plug the guide wheel (
VI
) into the recess which is provided for it in the motor unit (
IV
).
It must engage audibly.
2. Place the protective guard (
V
) onto the three locking lugs of the motor unit and press
it on securely. When you do this, make sure that the recess for the screw in the
motor unit and in the protective guard are above one another (

).
3. Fix the protective guard to the motor unit using the screw which is supplied (
Pic-
ture D
).
4. Place the brush you want onto the thread.
5. Fix the brush on the motor unit with the nut. To do this, place the fi xing rod into the
recess on the axis of the motor unit and securely tighten the nut on the thread using
the spanner which is supplied (

).
Proceed in the reverse order to take it apart.
Adjusting the Telescopic Rod (Picture F1 + F2)
PLEASE NOTE!
■
CAUTION!
Never let go of the telescopic rod when it is pulled out without having
fi xed it in place. This automatically springs back. There is a danger of crushing
and trapping!
The length of the telescopic rod (
I
) can be varied, which means you can adjust it individ-
ually to suit your height.
1. Unscrew the fi xing (
5
) clockwise.
2. Pull the telescopic rod out to the length you want and hold it in this position.
3. Fix it by screwing the fi xing anticlockwise to tighten it.
