4. Air Cleaner Service

The air cleaner is a dry type with replaceable filter cartridges. A definite time schedule for changing the
filter cartridge cannot be determined because of varying operating conditions. Change the filter
cartridge when the green indicator “flag” reaches the top of the viewing chamber and locks in that
position. Change the cartridge as follows:

a. Cartridge Removal

(See Fig. 4)

Remove air cleaner access panel from rear of unit.

Remove clamp assembly

(2)

from air cleaner.

(3)

Remove baffle assembly

(3)

Remove primary element

(4)

, and replace with new element.

Do not clean or re-use cartridge.

Inspect the interior of the cleaner housing
