FILTER CLEANING UNIT OPERATION CHECK
Ma k e sure the power plug is fir m l y plugge d into the power outlet.

Be sure to use the power outlet exclusi v el y for
air con d itioner
Use of other power outlet may cause heat, which
could result in fire.

Ma k e sure that d ust is not d eposite d on the
power plug an d b e sure to plug in until the b la d es
of the plug are full y inserte d to a v oi d unsta b le
plug - in an d d ust fro m b eing accu m ulate d
Use of air conditioner with dusty power plug or
improper power connection could result in electrical
shock or fire.

•
After the power is turne d on ( after the power plug is inserte d into the power
outlet or after the circuit b rea k er is switche d on after power failure ), the
cleaning unit m a k es one c y cle of b ac k an d forth m o v e m ent.
•
At this ti m e , the ( CLEAN ) in d icator is lit.
•
One c y cle of operation chec k will ta k e approxi m atel y 5 m inutes.
•
During the operation check, the unit performs “Fan” operation while the movable
panel and horizontal air deflector remain closed.
•
If the (CLEAN) indicator blinks (lit for 4 seconds/off 1 second) after the
operation check, refer to “Troubleshooting” on page 44.
Cleaning Unit
There is a filter cleaning wiper inside.
Dust catcher
CAUTION
Do not put y our fingers or a stic k etc into the top surface d uring
the filter cleaning operation
It may result in injury or malfunction.
