Method 2: VCR/satellite
receiver/cable box + DVD Recorder
+ TV
Before making or changing any rear panel
connections, make sure that all components are
switched off and unplugged from the wall outlet.
1. Connect the cable from the aerial/cable TV outlet to
the aerial input on your VCR/satellite receiver/cable
box.
2. Connect the aerial output of your VCR/satellite
receiver/cable box to the ANTENNA IN of DVD-
Recorder using aerial cable.
3. Use another RF aerial cable to connect the
ANTENNA OUT of DVD-Recorder to the aerial input
on your TV.
4. Connect the AV1 connector on DVD-Recorder to the
SCART AV connector on TV using a SCART cable.
5. Connect the AV2 connector to a SCART AV
connector on VCR/satellite receiver/cable box.
6. Setup “AV1 Out option” using on-screen menu. Refer
to page 29.

Method 3: DVD Re
external decoder box + TV
If you connect external decoder box to DVD recorder,
you can record scrambled channels received through
the built-in TV tuner in DVD-Recorder.
1. Connect RF aerial cables as shown.
2. Connect the AV1 connector on this recorder to the
SCART AV connector on TV using a SCART cable.
3. Connect the AV2 connector to a SCART AV
connector on decoder box.
4. Set channel decoding function on using on-screen
menu. Refer to page 27.
