About the TUB CLEAN program
This program removes odors by washing off any soap or mold that has accumulated inside the
washing drum, and then running a drying operation for 30 minutes.
When to use the program

About once a month or once every two months

When the amount of lint on laundry is a concern

When the odor inside the drum is a concern

Use chlorine-based laundry bleach or chlorine-based washing drum bleach. Do not use kitchen bleach,
as it has little effect.

For the cleaning frequency, follow the instructions of the bleach to be used.

When mold growth or accumulation of soap is found

When the odor inside the drum is strong

When you want to clean the drum thoroughly

Use a commercially available washing drum detergent (chlorine-based anticorrosive bleach).

For the cleaning frequency, follow the instructions of the washing drum detergent to be used.
Notes on using washing drum detergents
z
For the appropriate usage amount, follow the instructions of the washing drum detergent to be
used.
If the detergent does not include instructions, use about 200 mL.
z
When pouring washing drum detergent into the drum, be careful to avoid spilling on the exterior of
the machine.
When the <AUTO SELF CLEAN> function is used on a regular basis
z
It is recommended to use chlorine-based laundry bleach or chlorine-based washing drum bleach
once 3 or 4 months to clean the drum.
z
Use a commercially available washing drum detergent (chlorine-based anticorrosive bleach) when
the odor inside the drum is strong and you want to clean the drum thoroughly.
About the TUB DRY program
This program dries the drum for 30 minutes to prevent mold growth.
