Simplified Measurement for Earth Resistance 

(Simplified Measurement Method, Two-pole Method)

Connecting test leads

 WARNING

 

•

Do not use this device for measuring the voltage of 

commercial power supply.

 

•

If there is a large voltage on the neutral side,   
(live wire warning LED) blinks and beep sound goes 

off. Immediately remove the test leads from the 

commercial power supply.

 

•

If the earth potential is high, attention needs to be 

paid for the risk of electric shock.

 

•

To prevent an electric shock, do not exceed the 

lower of the ratings shown on the instrument and 

test leads.

The figure below shows an example of connection in the case of using 

a commercial power supply that is grounded on its N (neutral) side.
