When this instrument has been in extended stor-
age (for more than one year), the instrument will
not be able to meet its specifications. Be sure to
have the instrument calibrated before using it.

6.1 Troubleshooting

• If damage is suspected, check the "Trouble-

shooting" section before contacting your dealer
or Hioki representative.

• Calibration and repair of this instrument should

be performed only under the supervision of
qualified technicians knowledgeable about the
dangers involved.

• When transporting the instrument, pack the

instrument so that it will not sustain damage dur-
ing shipping, and include a description of exist-
ing damage. We cannot accept responsibility for
damage incurred during shipping.

• Never modify the instrument. Only Hioki service

engineers should disassemble or repair the
instrument. Failure to observe these precautions
may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.

• If the protective functions of the instrument are

damaged, either remove it from service or mark
it clearly so that others do not use it inadvert-
ently.
