LOWERING MOTORCYCLE

Two people are needed all times when a bike is being placed on or removed from lift and whenever the lift is being elevated or lowered. 

One person should be on each side of the lift all times during such operate.
1.  Ensure the castor brakes are locked, and then remove any tie-downs.
2.  Raise the lift slightly then place the safety bars back to the disengaged position.
3.  Unlock the release valve (turn valve anti-clockwise) slowly and control the descent of the lift and bike. Before the wheels contact 

with the ground, ensure that another person is prepared to take the weight of the bike and prepare for it to be moved onto another 

stand.

4.  When bike is ready to take its’ own weight, lower the stand fi lly to clear the frame.
5.  Remove the lift from under the bike.

RAMP MAINTENANCE

Oil may be added to the jack as follows:
1.  Pump the lift to ist maximum height without any motorcycle load.
2.  Remove the stopper on the cylinder.
3.  Pour hydraulic oil into the hole until the chamber is full.
4.  Lower the jack and let the excess oil flow out of hole, take care to ensure the oil is collected.
5.  Replace the stopper into the cylinder.
6.  Repeat this action as required to bleed all air out of cylinder.

CAUTION

•  When not in use, always store the lift at its lowest height.
•  When lift is at its maximum height, do not attempt to pump it any higher as this can cause damage to the mechanism.
•  When lowering the lift take care to control the speed of descent.
•  Do not attempt to modify the setting of the lift in any way, if in doubt contact POLO Motorrad und Sportswear GmbH.
•  Always check the lift before use, if any signs of wear or damage are noticed then the lift must not be used.
•  Never sit on the bike when it is being lifted.
•  Do not run the engine of the bike when it is on the lift.
