DSE4510 Control Module
The control panel has a Deep Sea Electronics 4510
engine and generator management system which
combines engine management, condition monitoring
and general operational control of the machine. It is
designed for ease of use and provides information
via a large LCD display which is accessed through a
simple scroll menu system.
Control Button Descriptions:
Item
Description
This button allows you to STOP the
unit or reset any cleared alarms.
Selecting this button places the unit
into AUTO mode and will automatically
start when the mains fails or the unit
receives a remote start signal.
Press this button to start the generator
(Used in conjunction with the manual
start control button)
Menu scroll keys up and down
The Deep Sea 4510 Engine Control module allows the
user to control the operation of the generator engine.
The Deep Sea 4510 also provides instrumentation for;

Wiring diagrams for the Deep Sea 4510 and other
panel wiring are included in this document.
The DSE module will go into standby when no com-
mon alarms have been triggered after 1 minute of
inactivity. When the emergency stop is pressed in the
DSE module will not go into standby, and will drain the
battery.
Instrumentation
To access various instrumentation displays you will
need to press the “up down” buttons on the engine
control module. Each page of instrumentation can be
accessed sequentially in this order.
• Engine
speed
•
Generator volts and Amps
• Generator
frequency
•
Engine run time
• Battery
volts
If an alarm is raised while an instrumentation view is
being displayed the instrumentation view is changed
to the alarm page. The alarm page is only available
when an alarm has been raised; also the default
instrumentation view that is displayed is the engine
speed page.
Indication
There are 3 indication LED’s (Light Emitting Diodes)
on the front of the engine control module;

The Started Mode Indicator
This LED is to the upper-right of the Start
button and is illuminated when the engine is in the
“Start” mode.

The Automatic Mode Indicator
This LED is to the upper-right of the Auto
button and is illuminated when engine control
module is in the “Auto” mode.

The Common Alarm Indicator
This LED
is on the right side of the modules’
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and is illuminated
when one of the common faults has occurred with
the set.
Common Alarms
The common alarm indicator will be illuminated when
there is a condition with the engine or alternator that
requires the operator’s attention. When the common
