2.
Do not put your hands into the machine while it is running,
reach behind cladding or into places obscured from view.
3.
Risk of getting crushed and cutting yourself.
I) Protection
zone
Do not put your hands into the machine‘s working area
while it is running!
1.
Danger of getting crushed.
ATTENTION!
Never enter the protection zone and instruct a second
person to switch the machine on from outside.
2.
While work is in progress on the machine, no other persons
must be present in the safety zone and working area in
front of and behind the machine.
3.
Do not reach into the drill unit operating area while
production is in progress. Suitable aids must be used to
push small parts against stops. Risk of getting crushed!
J) Safety
devices
Pay attention to safety devices.
1.
Do not remove the factory-fitted safety devices, protective
hoods and switches. All safety and hazard warnings on the
machine must be completely legible at all times.
2.
Safety devices must not be rendered inoperative.
3.
If safety covers need to be dismantled for tool changes or
cleaning and maintenance, always make sure that they are
refitted before returning the machine to operation. Check
that they are in proper working order.
4.
Operating the machine without these covers gives rise to
hazards from flying shavings and enables persons to reach
inadvertently into moving tools or parts of the machine
that pose a threat of getting crushed.
K)
Repair and maintenance
Always switch machine off before attempting repair or
maintenance work.
1.
Operating personnel must be informed before conducting
maintenance or repair work.
2.
Always disconnect the plug when working in the machine
or on the electrical system!
3.
In cases where lifting gear is used for dismantling or
installing assemblies, ensure that the lifting gear is safe
and pay attention to careful and proper attachment.
4.
Repair and maintenance work, in particular on electrical
equipment, must be performed by qualified personnel only.
5.
When working on the electrical system, follow the
pertinent guidelines. Verify safe isolation from the power
supply, properly earthing or shorting where necessary.
6.
Only use safety fuses with the prescribed ratings; too high
a fuse rating will irreparably damage the system. If fuses
trip frequently, instruct a qualified electrician to locate and
remedy the fault before switching the machine back on
again.
7.
Only use lubricants prescribed by the manufacturer.
When handling oils and greases, observe the safety
regulations applicable to the product in question.
8.
Use only OEM spare parts or, in the case of standard parts,
parts of at least the same quality.
9.
Remove dust and any shavings from the machine by
suction.
10.
When carrying out repair work on the units, do not
transpose switch plugs. This may result in malfunctions and
hazards from extended tools. Adhere to factory wiring.
L)
Noise! Wear ear protection devices.
1.
Wear ear protection devices during noisy work processes.
M) Dust
Dangers to health from wood dust.
1.
Equipped with the suction devices designated, the machine
conforms to dust protection regulations.
2.
Some work processes and specific workpieces (e.g. framed
doors, fascias strips or special profiles) may nor permit full
encapsulation and suction extraction. Wear dust protection
masks!
N) Leftover
pieces
Design workpieces in such a way as to avoid leftover pieces
flying out of the machine with great force.
O) Processing
forces
Adapt material feed and cutting volume to the retenti-
on force for the material concerned.
1.
If retention problems are encountered, use additional stops,
templates or power-operated clamping devices.
P) Fire
hazard
Only perform grinding and welding work when the
machine is clean; fire hazard!
1.
Observe welding regulations and accident prevention
regulations.
Q) Explosion
protection
The machine is not explosion protected. Do not set it up
in the vicinity of painting shops.
R) Faulty
operation
The machine operator must inspect the machine daily
for externally visible defects.
1.
Defects must be rectified immediately; if other personnel
are responsible for rectifying defects, they must be reported
to such personnel with the request that they be repaired.
2.
The machine must only be operated if it is in perfect
working
order.
3.
The area around the machine must be kept clean and must
not contain any obstacles over which persons may stumble.
Extraction hoses must be routed in such a way that they do
not restrict the movement of the machine operator.
4.
Planned maintenance work must be carried out at the
intervals specified. If necessary, the owner must prescribe
other suitable intervals or specify additional work.
