6.1 General
The instructions described here are to be understood as minimum
recommendations. Depending on operating conditions, they may
need to be broadened in order to maintain the machine's working
quality.
Servicing and maintenance work in specific specialist fields
(electrical engineering, compressed air systems etc.) must only be
carried out by skilled persons trained in the particular discipline
concerned.
Observe the following safety advice!
6. Start up
Note
Improper repair will result in damage to the
machine!
Improper dismantling and assembly may result in
property damage or consequential damage to the
machine.
Therefore, when carrying out any removal or
dismantling activity, always:
• Mark parts that belong together
• Mark or make a note of the position and
point of installation
• Remove and store assemblies separately
After carrying out maintenance work, always:
• check all screw connections to make sure
they are tight.
• Close and screw down all covers.

Danger to life!
Working on live components in the improper
manner presents a danger to life!
Work on the electrical equipment must only
be carried out by authorised electricians.
The machine must be disconnected from the
power supply before carrying out repair and
cleaning work!
To do this, turn the main switch to the 0 position
and fit a padlock to prevent it from being swit-
ched on unintentionally.
Warning
You could get crushed by moving parts if the
machine is not shut down.

Caution
Warning - Hot surfaces / objects!
The surface of electric motors, for example, can
reach a temperature of over
100 °C when operated in the intended manner.
For this reason, measures must be taken to
prevent anyone from touching hot surfaces; no
temperature sensitive parts must be attached to
or rest against the surface either.
