The help texts in the PC software indicate whether or not the operating system has detected the USB programming stick
correctly.
• Whe n the sof t wa re is re ady to se nd dat a , the “Submit” button will be available for selection and “USB programming
stick is ready” will appear on the bottom left of the display.
• If the USB programming stick cannot be detected or is not plugged in, “Please insert the USB programming stick” will
appear.
You should make sure that you always have the latest updates for your Windows operating system installed.
If the PC software is unable to find the programming stick, you can look for it in the Windows Device Manager:
• The device will be listed as an “HID-compliant device” under “Human Interface Devices”.
• With the Device Manager open you can unplug the USB programming stick and plug it back in; it should then appear in
the list of devices.
• If an exclamation mark appears in front of the device, you should update the Windows drivers. For more information
please refer to the corresponding Windows Help.
