Operation mode „Screed drying“
When building a house large volumes of water are used for mortar, render, gypsum and screed, which slowly
evaporate from the building. In addition to that, rain can increase the humidity in the building structure. Due
to the high humidity in the entire building structure the heat demand is increased in the first two heating
seasons.
The drying of the building structure should be carried out with special on-site equipment. In tight calculated
heating outputs of the heat pump and a drying of the building structure throughout the year, it is advisable,
especially at brine/water – heat pumps to install an additional electric heater to compensate the increased
heat demand. Due to increased compressor run times and lack of heat output at brine/water – heat pumps,
sub-cooling of the heat source can occur and thus lead to a safety shutdown of the heat pump.
