2. For individuals who have chronic respiratory problems, we recommend that the XJ-2100UV be set at low at night time,
if the ionizer is in the bedroom, since respiratory activities differ in sleep.
Vehicle Placement Instructions:
Either place in the middle console or passenger seat

or attach to the dash

ack seat or rear window.
If Ozone Odour Becomes Too Strong
The XJ-2100UV produces ozone only as a
b
yproduct of the needlepoint ionization
,
creating only
moderate and safe levels.
A
lthough it is not common
,
the odour of ozone can potentially
b
ecome
uncomforta

ly strong for certain individuals
,
and/or in certain environments. The Heaven Fresh air
purifier is not capa
b
le of producing harmful ozone levels in spaces of 100 sq. ft. or more. Depend-
ing on the size of the room
,
and the ventilation
,
it will produce a

to 0.04 ppm

parts per

)
of ozone
,
which is well within FD

and OSH

standards. In smaller spaces

you will pro

ly not want to run the unit continuously. The
b
est way to remedy a strong ozone odour is to
somehow increase air
fl
ow near or around the unit
,
or place it in a more open area
,
where there is
a
b
etter air current. Examples can include turning on a ceiling fan
,
temporarily opening a window
,
and opening the door to the room. It may
b
ecome necessary to run the unit on low
,
or move the
unit to another location periodically
,
since the space may

e small enough
(
and not polluted
enough
)
that it does not require the continuous use of the unit.

1. Cleaning the Dust Collection Plates:
The dust collection plates should
b
e cleaned a
b
out every 20-
3
0 days
,
or when covered with dirt and
residue.
If the purifier begins making a zapping sound, then this is simply a sign that the
dust collection plates needs to be wiped off.
The zapping sound is
j
ust a result of a significant
amount of dust
b
uild-up on the collection plates. Cleaning the dust collection plates is very simple.
First
,
twist the kno
b
on the right hand side of the air purifier and pull the plates out. Second
,
wipe
the plates off with a damp cloth. If there is
difficult-to-remove residue
on the plate
,
you should
use a mild household cleaner
,
such as detergent
,
to help remove it. Third
,
dry the plates.
Fourth
,
reinsert the plates
b
ack into the air purifier. Twist the handle to lock them in place and so
that the unit will operate again. Please refer to the lock and unlock sym

ols on the handle of dust
