PRODUCT OVERVIEW
PURPOSE :
The Heatstar is a product which is intended to be used, in association with other equipment and services, to
facilitate control of the environment within an indoor swimming pool.
The term
‘environmental control’, in this instance, relates to temperatures, humidity levels and ventilation
provision.
MAJOR COMPONENTS :
The Heatstar incorporates the following major components :

A main supply fan to take air to and from the pool room.
- An air extraction fan to ventilate pool room air to out side.
- Air mixing louvres to control the amount of fresh air brought in.
- A plate heat exchanger for recovering energy from room air exhausted to outside.

Super’
Versions :
The term
‘Super’ in the model name means that the Heatstar product incorporates an integral air heating coil to
support the main pool room air heating.

Super Plus’
Versions :
The term
‘Super Plus’ in the model name means that the Heatstar product Incorporates an integral air heating
coil, to support the main pool room air heating, plus a pool water heating pack, to also support the main pool
water heating.
‘
AR’
Versions :
The term
‘AR’ in the model name indicates that the refrigeration systems are able to reclaim heat back into the
pool room air but, unlike the standard version, not also the pool water. AR is an abbreviation for Air Re-Heat.
‘Elec’
Versions :
The term
‘Elec’ in the model name indicates that the integral support heating coils are electric in nature and that
the product does not require to be connected to a separate LTHW heat source, i.e. boiler. Any subsequent
references to boiler or LTHW supply can therefore be ignored.
