WARNING! Risk of Fire!
• Follow these instructions exactly.
• Facing materials must be installed properly to prevent
fire.
• No materials may be substituted without authorization
by Hearth & Home Technologies.
H. Non-Combustible Facing Material Installa-
tion
Make sure the fireplace has been secured in place to the
wall studs with the nailing flanges. (The fireplace can also
be attached to the floor with L brackets that attached the
fireplace to the pallet.)
• Slide the top board down the front of the unit and behind
the flanges around the opening of the fireplace.
• Secure the board to the fireplace at the predrilled holes
with the 1-1/4” inch screws provided. Attach the board
to the framing members with regular sheetrock screws
or nails.
• Slide the side boards in place from each side behind the
flanges around the opening of the fireplace.
• Secure the board to the fireplace at the predrilled holes
with the 1-1/4” inch screws provided. Attach the board
to the framing members with regular sheetrock screws
or nails.
• Use a wet or soft brush to remove dust or dirt from facing
material.
• See section 7 for finishing materials guidelines.
