Problem Solution
Pilot will not light • Gas valve may be OFF Turn the gas
valve ON
• Gas cylinder may be empty. Refill gas
cylinder .
• Pipes or jets blocked . Clean clean
them accordingly and retry .
• Loose connections. Check all fittings
are secure
Pilot light will not stay on • Debris around the pilot light . Clean
the area around the pilot light and
retry .
• Loose connections. Check all fittings
are secure .
• Damage to the thermocouple . This
may need to be replaced .
• Gas leak in hose . Perform leak test
(page 2).
• Lack of gas pressure . Check bottle
levels and replace/ refill if necessary.
Burner will not light • Lack of gas pressure . Check bottle
levels and replace/ refill if necessary.
• Openings blocked . Clean openings
accordingly and retry .
• Control knob is not in the ON
position .
• Damage to the thermocouple . This
may need to be replaced .
• Pilot light assembly bent or not in
correct position . Adjust to the correct
position and retry .
Any repairs to the patio heater must be carried out by a qualified person
