1 Scope of supply

2 Mounting
Please pay attention on the following points fo r the mounting of load
cells:
S
Do not overload load cells, not even temporarily.
S
The mounting surface must be horizontal, flat across the entire surface, and
absolutely clean. Dust, dirt, and other foreign matter should not collect such
that they have a detrimental effect on the mobility of load cells, thus
falsifying the measured value.
S
W hen mounting, or immediately after mounting, each load cell should be
bridged by means of a twisted copper cable (e.g. EEK... by HBM = approx.
16 mm

). In this way, you prevent damage caused by welding currents.

Load cell grounding reduces the risk of load cell damage due to lightning.
ATTENTION
Neve r load in a di r ection opposite to the load di r ection specified (see
a rr ow on the load int r oduction f r ont of the load cell). This would cause
measu r ement e rr o r s and the damage of the mounting bolts. If load
di r ection is co rr ect, the load cell output signal is positive.

The base plate should be made from stainless steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 42.
The surfaces X" must be even and in parallel (0.25 mm).
