When not in use, keep the battery booster
connected to the supplied automatic charger!
2. Device Elements / Included in Delivery
• HAZET Battery Booster
• Automatic battery charger
• Booster cable / other power source (only 12 V)
3. Before starting the operation
IMPORTANT NOTE: Before fi rst operation the HAZET Batter Booster has to be charged
for at least 48 hours!
NOTE: When not in use, always keep the HAZET Battery Booster connected to the sup-
plied automatic charger in order to avoid self-discharge or damage of the HAZET Battery
Booster!
4651-24:
First connect the plug into the output voltage socket (at the rear side of the device).
4651 N-12:
To check the state of charge of the HAZET Battery Booster, press test button for approx.
10 seconds. If 4 LED‘s light up the HAZET Battery Booster is ready for use. If 3 or less LED‘s light up the
HAZET Battery Booster needs to be immediately recharged. If all 5 LED‘s light up, the device is completely
recharged (the 5th. LED goes out when the HAZET Battery Booster is disconnected from the battery charger).
4651-12 and 4651-24:
To check the state of charge of the HAZET Battery Booster, press test button for
approx. 10 seconds If the voltage is lower than 12.6
V or 25.2
V, the HAZET Battery Booster needs to be
immediately recharged.
4. Operation
Battery Booster 4651-24: Select the output voltage.
• Switch 1 must be in „OFF“ position!
• Connect the red (positive) clamp to the positive battery terminal.
• Connect the black (negative) clamp to the negative terminal of the battery or to the earth of the vehicle.
Beware of moving parts (fans, belts etc.)
Pay attention to the right polarity of the HAZET Battery Booster in order to avoid damage to the unit, or
injury to personnel. (Always pay attention to the warning signals! Alarm and LED signal!)
• Be sure to maintain a safe and balanced position when working. Use switch 1 to turn the HAZET Battery
Booster ON and start the engine. When starting the engine, stay clear of battery and the HAZET Battery
Booster.
• Once started, disconnect the black (negative) clamp immediately and switch the booster OFF (switch 1).
Disconnect the plug at the rear side of the device (4651-24 only).
• Then disconnect the red (positive) clamp.
IMPORTANT: Should the vehicle refuse to start within 10 seconds, allow the HAZET Battery
Booster to cool down for at least 3 minutes before attempting to restart the vehicle. Otherwise
severe damage to the HAZET Battery Booster may occur.
5. Recharging of the HAZET Battery Booster
• ONLY charge the HAZET Battery Booster with the supplied automatic charger.
CAUTION: Battery Booster 4651-24: Select the output voltage 12 V when charging. Make sure
that the charger 12 V-4 A is switched on (switch at the right side of the charger). When all LED
are fl ashing (12 V-4 A) the HAZET Battery Booster is fully charged.
• Charge the HAZET Battery Booster while driving by using the supplied charging cable connected to the
cigar lighter socket of the vehicle (12 V!).
CAUTION: Start the engine before connecting the HAZET Battery Booster! The HAZET Battery
Booster has to be switched off (switch 1 on „OFF“ position). Battery Booster 4651-24: The
output voltage 12 V is selected!
