1. Owner’s Liability
This HAZET Battery Booster was
developed and manufactured according
to the technical norms and standards
valid at the time and is considered to be operation-
ally reliable. Nevertheless, the HAZET Battery
Booster can present a danger when it is not used
as intended or in an inappropriate way by
non-qualifi ed personnel. Please make sure that any
person using this HAZET Battery Booster or
carrying out maintenance work carefully reads
these operating instructions and fully understands
all information given, before using the HAZET
Battery Booster.
• Keep the operating instructions together with the
HAZET Battery Booster at all times.
• Any modifi cation of the HAZET Battery Booster is
strictly forbidden.
• All security advices, warning and operation notices
on the device have to be kept legible. Replace all
damaged labels or stickers.
• All indications concerning setting values and setting
ranges must be observed.
• Only use accessories recommended or sold by the
booster’s manufacturer in order to avoid damage
to the unit, or injury to persons.
• Only recharge the HAZET Battery Booster with the
provided charger. If the battery charger is damaged
it must be replaced immediately.
• Do not operate the HAZET Battery Booster in an
explosive environment and / or near any infl am-
mable substances such as gasoline, gas etc.
• Do not store the HAZET Battery Booster too long
without recharging it, to prevent damages to the
device.
• When not in use, keep the battery booster con-
nected to the supplied automatic charger.
2. Appropriate Use
Operational reliability can only be ensured,
if the HAZET Battery Booster is used as
intended and in compliance with the indi-
cations given in the operating instructions.
In addition to the safety advice given in these op-
erating instructions, the general safety regulations,
regulations for the prevention of accidents and regula-
tions for environmental protection being valid for the
application area of this HAZET Battery Booster have
to be observed and respected
Always ensure HAZET Battery Boosters are used,
inspected and maintained in compliance with the
respective local, state, national or federal regulations.
• The HAZET Battery Booster must only be used if
it is in good working order.
• All safety equipment must always be within reach
and should be checked regularly.
• Avoid any short-circuit. Do not allow power clamps
to touch each other.
• Do not pull the cable, only the plug.
• For storage and transport always keep the cable
into the cable holder.
• For transportation of the HAZET Battery Booster
always use either the telescopic handle or the car-
rying handle.
• Any deviation from the intended use and/or any
misapplication of the HAZET Battery Booster is not
allowed and will be considered as improper use.
• Any claims against the manufacturer and/or its
authorized agents because of damage caused by
improper use of the HAZET Battery Booster are
void.
• Any personal injury or material losses caused by
improper use of the HAZET Battery Booster are the
sole responsibility of the owner.
3. Dangers emanating from the tool
/ Personal Protective Equipment
CAUTION: When working on commer-
cial vehicles, immediately disconnect
the clamps after starting! EXPLOSION
HAZARD!
Before each use, check the HAZET Battery Booster
for full functional effi ciency. Do not use the HAZET
Battery Booster if its functional effi ciency cannot
be ensured or if damage is detected. If the HAZET
Battery Booster is used, when it is not in full working
order, you risk severe injuries to persons and damage
to property. Defective HAZET Battery Boosters may
cause severe injury.
When operating the HAZET Battery
Booster, it is necessary to wear safety
glasses.
• Any service or repair work must be carried out
by qualifi ed personnel only. If the HAZET Battery
Booster is damaged or defective, please send the
HAZET Battery Booster to HAZET. Do not try to
repair the booster yourself.
• For safety reasons any modifi cation of the HAZET
Battery Booster is strictly forbidden. Any modifi -
cation of the HAZET Battery Booster will result in
immediate exclusion from warranty and liability.
