for up to 30 seconds. The correction runs through a prescribed repeating cycle,
it is not constant. The Havahart

Collar has a Safety Time-Out Feature to stop

the cyclical correction and beeping after 30 seconds until your dog returns to
the Roaming Area. Should your dog stay outside the Trigger Zone for more than
30 seconds, he will NOT be corrected again when he crosses back into
the Roaming Area.

Use the Short Probes for short-haired dogs and the Long Probes for long or
thick-haired dogs. It may be necessary to trim your dog’s hair where the Probes
touch your dog’s neck to ensure reliable contact with his skin.
