1 Thrown objects and rotating line can cause severe injury.
2 Disconnect the plug immediately if the cord has been damaged or entangled.
3 Keep bystanders, especially children at a distance greater than 16 ft (5 m)
4 Use this grass line trimmer only when a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter
(GFCI), Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI), or Residual Current Device (RCD)
with a tripping current of not more than 30ma is in the circuit.
5 The recommended extension cord for this trimmer has a minimum of 18
gauge wire thickness and is no more than 33 ft (10 m) long.
6 Danger! The cutting elements continue to rotate after the motor is switched off.
7 Keep the extension cord away from the cutting elements.
15 Periodically inspect the condition of the cutting head. If the spool is damaged,
switch off, remove the plug from the power source and replace the spool.
16 Do not use the machine to cut grass that is not on the ground. For example,
do not cut grass on walls or rocks.
17 Do not switch on the machine in enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces, or in
the presence of inflammable and/or explosive substances such as liquids,
gases, or powders.
8 Never allow children, infirm people, or people unfamiliar with these instructions
to use the trimmer.
9 Avoid using the trimmer while people, especially children, infirm people, and
pets are nearby.
10 Use the trimmer only in daylight or good artificial light.
11 Never operate the trimmer with damaged guards or shields, or without guards
or shields.
12 Switch on the motor only when your hands and feet are away from the
cutters.
13 Never use metal cutters.
14 Take care against injury by the blade fitted to control the trimmer line length.
After extending new cutter line or replacing the line spool, always return the
trimmer to its normal upright operating position before switching it on.
18 Always stop the trimmer and switch off at the mains when cutting is delayed,
interrupted, or when walking from one cutting location to another.
19 Do not cross roads or gravel paths with the machine still running.
20 After use, disconnect the tool from the power supply and check for damage.
If you have the slightest doubts, check with an authorized service centre.
21 Do not extend the trimming line beyond the guard and do not operate the
trimmer without both lines extended and without the proper line installed.
22 Check regularly that the nuts, bolts, and screws are tight.
23 Do not try to repair the machine or access the internal parts. Use authorized
service centres only.
24 Do not get distracted and always concentrate on what you are doing. Use common
sense. Never operate the machine when you are tired, sick, or under the influence
of alcohol, or other drugs.
25 Disconnect the unit from the power supply when not in use, before servicing
and when changing the line spool.
26 Keep these instructions. Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct
other users. If you loan someone this unit, also loan them the instructions.
27 Failure to follow operating instructions and safety precautions in this instruction
manual can result in serious injury. Read the manual before starting or operating
