Configuring an Encoder with SDI Input and IP or ASI Output
Notice that the TS–1 entry now includes ASI Port in its name–indicating that it is carried
through the ASI port.

When you have made your program configuration settings, click
Apply
at the top of the
configuration page.

Next, you should rebuild the PSI data for the encoder, and check for alarms.
You can instruct the device to rebuild the PSI automatically in the SAG Administration >
Global Settings > General page. It is enabled by default. If you do not have the device
configured to automatically rebuild PSI, go to the device task menu and rebuild it manually at
this time.

Finally, see if there any active alarms by checking the alarm indicators at the top of the page.
As you add streams to the service, the GUI will report alarms. The current list of alarms is
displayed in the
Active Alarms
tab at the bottom of the page. To resolve these alarms, you
adjust the configuration of the streams, services, and transports for this device. When your
configuration is complete, you should see no alarms and the indicators should be green.
