Trouble Shooting Guide H3,H5,&H6

COMPLAINT

AREA OF TROUBLE

through the heat loop

Pump not operating

Inline valves closed/bad

Air trapped in plumbing

Scale deposits in hot
water coil reducing
water flow and
restricting heat transfer.

Open or replace valves

Bleed lines if air is trapped
non pressured lines require
pump to be running.

Disconnect the inlet and
outlet of the hot water coil
and pump clean with descale
cleaning kit.

Bleed air from hot water coil

Blowing cold air
in house

Excessive wood
usage

Close all doors and make
sure they are securely
fastened.

If the seal is bad it will need
replacing. Call your local
Hardy Dealer for parts. See
Owners Manual for replacing
door seals.

Unplug blower motor. Check
lid and blower for creosote
buildup. Remove blower,
dissemble, clean, and oil.

Check temperature setting on
aquastat. Should be 170ºF. If
aquastat is allowing blower to
run until water boils, replace
aquastat.

Repair or replace all lines or
connections that are leaking.
