Legend
The symbols listed in the following are used within these operating instructions to make you aware of
hazards, particularities, and safety regulations.
Attention, warning note, hazards, safety instruction
This type of symbol indicates that there is a hazard. The hazard is shown with a corresponding symbol, at which
the same is explained in more detail in the related text.
Note
This type of symbol indicates particularities of the machine. Furthermore, tips and notes are specified increasing
the capacity of the machine or extending the lifetime of the same.
Protective clothing, protective measures
This type of symbol indicates particular protective clothing that is required to handle the machine.
General notes
In order to provide for your safety and for the safety of your device, the following items should be observed in
any case:
1. Only trained and authorised persons are allowed to operate the platform floor truck.
2. Before starting any works, please check all operating elements and moving parts for ease of movement.
If any parts are damaged or if anything has to be complained about, the platform floor truck must only
be used after it has been repaired properly.
3. Stop all works, protect the platform floor truck against unauthorised use, and have the platform floor
truck repaired by service personnel with the corresponding training in case of failures respectively
malfunctions, e.g. when the platform floor truck loses oil.
4. When placing goods onto the platform floor truck please observe to load the device uniformly and to not
to overload the device, particularly for large/bulky goods. The fork has to be moved below the load
completely at all times. It is absolutely prohibited to load the goods to one of the two forks only.
Please always observe the centre of gravity of the load and the load centre of the platform floor truck.
During any works, please always ensure that the stability of the platform floor truck is provided for.
5. If the device is equipped with additional attachment devices or other features attached retrospectively,
even from other manufacturers, the related operating instructions of the corresponding manufacturer
have to be observed additionally.
6. In the event of technical modifications to the device, all warranty claims will forfeit and the declaration of
conformity will become invalid.
7. Please accelerate and decelerate slowly only. Loaded goods may become unstable, fall down, or
endanger you or bystanders due to jerky acceleration and deceleration procedures.
8. Please only operate the platform floor truck from the designated workstation in front of the drawbar.
When working with the device, the hazard area must not be entered in any case. Non-observance of
the aforementioned may result in severe injuries caused by the lifted load.
9. Improper use of the platform floor truck (differing from the description herein) may result in accidents
and/or injuries. Please always comply with the specified operating instructions.
