5. Only open the lint trap anticlockwise to the
point where water flows out. In the mean-
time, empty the collecting vessel.
6. If no more water flows out, open the lint
trap completely and take it out.
7. Remove the foreign body and clean the lint
trap thoroughly under running water.
8. Insert the lint trap again. Make sure that the
handle is in a horizontal position.
9. Turn the lint trap clockwise and tighten it as
far as it will go.

10. Insert the shutter (10) in such a way that
the opening is pointing upwards and
press it down firmly.
Emptying residual water

The appliance is very heavy. Never
move the appliance alone, but rather
always with at least two persons.
Sometimes – for example, if the appliance is
in a room that isn’t protected by frost – you
should empty the residual water to prevent
the cables in the appliance from freezing and
causing damage.
Requirement: There is a second person to
help you.
1. Proceed as described in section “Cleaning
the lint trap/Emergency draining”. Only car-
ry out steps 1-5 at first.
2. Then tilt the appliance forwards slightly
with the help of a second person and al-
low any remaining water to drain out of the
appliance.
3. After this, turn the lint trap clockwise again,
tightening it as far as it will go, and insert
the shutter (10) again.
