Dishwasher operation
Before getting started
• Read the “Safety” chapter from page EN-4,
in particular the safety notices.
• Set up and connect the appliance as de-
scribed in the “Set-up, connection and
initial start-up” chapter from page EN-29.
• Refill dishwasher detergents, rinse aids
and dishwasher salts or multi-tabs.
Preparation
1. Open the tap completely.
2. Leave the appliance door open.
3. Press the button (1) to switch the ap-
pliance on.
You will hear a beep, and the display and
all indicators will illuminate briefly.
Protecting the environment
– The ECO programme is the most efficient
programme for cleaning normally soiled
dishes in terms of combined energy and
water consumption.
– If you keep to the maximum specified ca-
pacity when loading your appliance and
you arrange the dishes correctly, energy
and water can be saved (see “Loading
the dishwasher” on page EN-16).
– Manual pre-rinsing of the dishes leads
to higher water and energy consumption
and is not recommended.
– Cleaning dishes in your appliance gen-
erally uses less energy and water than
washing by hand, provided you follow the
instructions in the user manual.
– The appliance has a water tank which col-
lects water with each dishwasher cycle.
The water is automatically drained from
the water tank every time the appliance is
switched on after it has been reconnected
to the power supply. “---” is shown on the
display and all programme indicators light
up for several seconds.
