mixture of water and descaler
shortly after the brewing pro-
cess, hot steam from the wa-
ter outlet may cause scalding
and burns.

Allow the appliance to cool
completely before cleaning
and descaling.

During descaling, hot steam
is released, which can cause
burns on unprotected skin.

Do not leave the lid open
during operation.
■
Do not touch the lid or
reach just above it during
operation.

Avoid all contact with hot
liquid.

pliance can lead to damage.

Never immerse the appli-
ance, mains cord or plug in
water or any other liquids.

Do not put the appliance or
individual parts of the ap-
pliance in a dishwasher.

Do not use a steam cleaner
to clean it.

Do not use any sol-
vent-based, abrasive or
scouring cleaners (e.g. ov-
en or grill spray) or cleaning
utensils such as scouring
pads or similar.
■
Do not set up the appliance
below kitchen wall units,
etc. Maintain minimum
distances around the ap-
pliance (see "Suitable loca-
tion" on page EN-12).
