Never leave the appliance unattend-
ed while the mains plug is connected
to the socket.
■
Never pull the mains plug out of the
socket by the supply cord, always hold
the mains plug itself.
■
When moving to another location, do
not pull the appliance by the supply
cord or plug.
■
In the event of a fault, and before
cleaning and maintenance (e.g.
changing fi lter), always pull the mains
plug out of the socket.
■
Never touch the mains adapter or op-
erating elements with wet hands.
■
Do not operate the appliance in wet
rooms (e.g. bathrooms).
■
Do not operate the appliance in
rooms with a high fat/oil content in
the air (e.g. kitchen). This reduces the
lifespan of the fi lter and can damage
the appliance.
■
Ensure that no water seeps into the
appliance. Never immerse the appli-
ance in water.
■
Make sure that no vases or other con-
tainers fi lled with liquid are placed on
or near the appliance in order to pre-
vent liquid from entering the hous-
ing. If water or other foreign bodies
do get in, immediately disconnect
the mains plug from the socket and
contact our service department (see
page EN-17).

Only insert the mains plug into the
socket if all appliance components
are completely dry.
■
Disconnect the power plug from the
socket before cleaning or changing
the fi lter.
■
Investigations and repairs to the ap-
pliance may only be carried out by
authorised specialists, such as our ser-
vice department (page EN-17). Unau-
thorised repairs to the appliance can
cause property damage and person-
al injury, and invalidate liability and
warranty claims. Never try to repair a
defective or suspected defective ap-
pliance yourself.

Only parts corresponding to the orig-
inal appliance specifi cations may be
used for repairs.

Health risk!
Improper handling of the appliance
can be harmful to health.
■
Do not use the appliance to remove
toxic gases (e.g. carbon monoxide).
■
Do not use the appliance in spaces
where pesticides, insect sprays, etc.
are used. The chemical substances
could accumulate in the fi lter and
reach concentrations that are haz-
ardous to health.
■
Do not dispose of the fi lter by burn-
ing it, but rather throw it away with
household waste. Burning the fi lter
can be harmful to health.
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in injury.
■
Lay out the supply cord in such a way
that it does not become a trip hazard.
