Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, check the tables to see if you can correct the malfunction.

Never try to repair the appliance yourself. You can put your own and future users’
lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out this repair work.

Appliance is not
working.
Power button (9) is not
pressed.
Switch the appliance on.
Mains plug is loose.
Check that the mains plug is firmly
inserted into the socket.
The socket is defective.
Try the appliance with a different socket.
Check fuses and/or circuit breakers.
The motor is defective.
Contact our service department (see
“Service” on page EN-16).
No purification
effect, odours are
not adequately
removed.
Appliance is poorly positioned
or air exchange is obstructed.
Find another location or remove
obstacles.
Filters have not been cleaned/
replaced for a long time.
Clean or replace filter (see “Care and
maintenance” on page EN-13).
The (new) filter is still in the
packaging film.
Remove the filter and remove the
packaging film. Then insert the filter
again (see “Remove filter packing” on
page EN-10).
The air quality
indicator does not
change.
The appliance is placed in
a position where the sensor
cannot adequately measure
the air quality.
Select another location.
The Filter Change
Reminder LED (2)
does not go out
after changing the
filter.
No reset was performed.
Carry out a reset after a filter change
(see page EN-12).
