Setting the time
During start-up and after a power cut, you will
have to set the time. Otherwise the appliance
will not work.
The appliance is always in 24-hour
mode and can therefore not be
changed to 12-hour mode.
When the appliance is connected to
the mains, a beep will sound and the dis-
play (12) will show
0:00
.
1. Press the “Time/Timer” button (19).
Both of the
left
digit displays will start flash-
ing on the display.
2. Turn the control dial (18) to set the num-
ber of hours.
3. Press the “Time/Timer” button (19) again.
Both of the
right
digit displays will start
flashing on the display.
4. Turn the control dial to set the minutes.
5. Press the “Time/Timer” button (19) once
again.
The digits in the display (12) are no longer
flashing; the time is now set.
You must manually change the
clocks to summer time in March
and back again in October.
Using the clock as a timer
You can also use the appliance’s clock as a
timer:
1. Press the “Time/Timer” button (19) twice.
The display (12) will show “
00:00
”.
2. Select the desired duration by turning the
control dial (18).
3. To start the timer, press the “Start/+30sec/
Confirm” button (17).
A beep will sound when the set time is up.
Switching on and off the
safety lock (child lock)
If the safety lock (child lock) is activated, then
all buttons including the function selector will
not work.
Activating the safety lock is only
possible when the appliance is in
sleep mode.
• To switch on the safety lock (child lock),
press and hold down the “Stop/Delete”
button (16) for approx. 3 seconds.
A beep will sound and the display (12) will
show the indicator
.
• To switch off the safety lock (child lock),
press and hold down the “Stop/Delete”
button (16) again for approx. 3 seconds.
A beep will sound and the locking indicator
on the display (12) goes out. The but-
tons will now be unlocked again.
