Defrosting
WARNING
Health hazard!
Defrosting meat, poultry or fish in the
oven can cause dangerous micro-
organisms (such as salmonella) to
multiply rapidly, thereby increasing
the risk of food poisoning.
• Do not defrost meat, poultry and
fish in the oven.
• Only use the defrosting function
to defrost vegetables, pre-cooked
food, etc.
• Remove meat, poultry and fish
from the freezer in time and allow
them to defrost whilst covered in
the fridge. Liquid resulting from de-
frosting (e.g. meat) must be able to
drain.
Defrosting merely circulates unheated air within
the cooking compartment. This accelerates the
defrosting process. No heat is applied during
defrosting.
Note:
In order to make more room in
the cooking compartment, you
can remove the baking tray
guides and defrost the frozen food
container directly on the bottom of
the oven (see „Removing and mount-
ing the baking tray support“ on page
GB-36).
1. Use the left toggle switch
9
to set the cook-
ing function to “Defrost”.
2. Press the Start button
13
.
9:00
The defrosting process will begin, for which a
time of
9:00
hours has been pre-set.
Note:
You can change this setting.
3. To interrupt or stop the defrosting process,
press the Pause/Stop button
14
twice.
