The hob
Pot recognition is installed in the cooking
zones. Pot recognition ensures that the
cooking zone is switched on only when
– cookware with a magnetic bottom is actu-
ally placed on the cooking zone.
– the size of the cookware fits the cooking
zone dimensions. If the cookware is too
small, the cooking zone cannot be switched
on.
– the cookware has been placed in the mid-
dle of the cooking zone.
You should not use:
– Indented or battered pans.
– Pans with a rough base.
– Pans with a curved base.
– Coated cookware that is scratched inside.

The hob has four cooking zones. Each
cooking zone has its own temperature con-
troller.
• Turn the temperature controller clockwise
to the desired heating level (1–9) as re-
quired.
• Turn the temperature controller anticlock-
wise to ‘0’ in order to switch it off.
