Special information for
preparing yeast dough in the
cooking compartment
If the baking dish does not fit in the
cooking compartment, you can remove
the baking tray guides (8) to increase
the cooking compartment volume (see
page EN-22).
1. Pre-heat the appliance to 50 °C.
2. Switch the appliance off once the temper-
ature has been reached.
3. Place the baking dish with the yeast
dough in the cooking compartment. You
can place the dish directly on the bottom
of the oven.
4. Close the appliance door and leave the
yeast dough in the oven for the desired
time with no further heating.
The ECO mode
ECO For energy-efficient baking.
When ECO mode is activated, the heating
element is electronically controlled to make
better use of residual heat and therefore re-
duce energy consumption. Using ECO mode
will slightly extend the cooking time.
ECO mode is especially suited for cooking
meat: Cooking using this mode will result in
juicier meat.
Tips for saving energy
• Preheat the appliance only if it is speci-
fied in the recipe or in the cooking tables
provided.
• Use dark-coloured baking dishes and
trays when possible. They effectively ab-
sorb the heat.
• Open the appliance door as infrequent-
ly as possible during cooking, baking or
roasting.
• If you are making several cakes, bake
them one after the other while the appli-
ance is still warm to shorten the baking
time for subsequent cakes. If you use loaf
tins, place both of them side by side in the
cooking compartment.
• For longer cooking times, switch the ap-
pliance off 10 minutes before the end of
the cooking time. The residual heat is
enough to complete the cooking.
• When cooking, always leave the lid on the
saucepan wherever possible. Liquids can
be brought to the boil more quickly with
the lid on than without.
