TDS is a calculated value based on the conductivity of the solution (TDS = factor x EC

). A typical
TDS factor for strong ionic solutions is 0.50, while for weak ionic solutions is 0.70 (e.g fertilizers).

7.4. AVERAGING
Option: 1 to 20 samples
Averaging is a software filter to minimize sensor noise and provide more stable readings. It
is particularly useful to get a representative reading of the “average” value from flowing water.
Averaging will affect all measurements. If a fast response is needed, this value should be kept low.
