Getting Started with Pro‑Stitcher Lite
To move the quilting machine after the software has loaded
• To move the quilting machine after the software has loaded, the motors should be disengaged. Press
the Motors button in the upper‑right corner of the screen (Lock icon) to disengage the motors. Note
that the button changes from a closed lock to an open lock.
To move the machine for free-motion quilting
• Choose the Pro‑Stitcher tab and then the Gears button. The Gears icon is orange when the gears are
engaged. The Gears icon is purple with a line through it when the gears are disengaged. Pro‑Stitcher
Lite automatically moves the carriage gears away from the Flexirack to disengage. Touch the Gears
button to engage the gears and use Pro‑Stitcher Lite for computerized quilting.
NOTE: When the gears are engaged, you can still move the machine, but it will feel a bit stiff. If
you wish to free motion quilt, where you—not the Pro‑Stitcher Lite—are moving the machine,
disengage the gears for smoother movement. The gears must be engaged for computerized quilting.
To use the USB flash drive
• A USB flash drive is included with the Pro‑Stitcher Lite and is preloaded with designs. These designs
have also been loaded to the drive on the tablet computer, so the USB flash drive is the backup copy
of the designs.

IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to power down Pro‑Stitcher Lite to install or remove the USB flash
drive, but take care not to remove the flash drive while the system is saving to or loading from the
drive.
