5.4.4 Steering column
Replacing the steering wheel
Preparation
• Switch off the scooter with the ignition key.
• Disconnect the batteries.
Instructions
The following operations are required to replace the
steering column:
Note!
Suitable work area required!
• Remove the basket and the mounting bracket for the
mirrors.
• Remove the knob of the speed potentiometer.
• Remove the nut, the two Ejot screws and the dashboard.
• Disconnect all connectors from the tiller PCB.
• Remove the three Ejot screws to remove the tiller PCB.
• Remove the two recessed button head screws to
remove the console bottom.
• Disconnect the connectors of the console bottom.
• Remove the recessed button head and Ejot screws,
disconnect the stop switch and remove the top and
bottom steering wheel covers.
• Remove the two Ejot screws and washers to remove the
rear cover steering column; disconnect in between the
connectors from the ignition switch.
• Remove the two sheet metal screws and the throttle
potentiometer; disconnect in between the connector of
the throttle.
• Remove the button head screw and the brake lever;
disconnect in between the connector from the brake
lever.
• Remove the bolt to remove the steering wheel.
• Mount the new steering wheel.
• Rebuild the scooter in the reverse order.

Notice
• Make sure the scooter is switched off.
