of everyday life. The more children take part in these activities, the
easier it will become to use them when needed in moments of stress
and anxiety.
Getting Started
Use Pawz as a night-light for children too young to do the breathing
patterns. When they are ready, introduce the breathing patterns by
doing the same breathing activity several times. Then introduce the
next breathing activity. It is helpful to find transitional moments in the
day to practice the breathing patterns. For example, before a meal
and when preparing for bed are great times to practice the breathing
patterns.
Try holding Pawz while practicing the breathing activities for an
additional sensory experience. The soft, squishy material can help
support a calming practice in moments of high stress and anxiety.
Then, when children are upset or over-stimulated, they can choose
the breathing activity they like best to help restore their equilibrium.
Charge Pawz by plugging the provided
micro-USB cable into the micro-USB port on
the back and connect the other end to your
computer or wall outlet until Pawz is charged.
• The LED light by the charging port will
change from red to green when Pawz
is fully charged.
• After being fully charged, Pawz will provide
about eight hours of active use before needing
to be charged again.
• The red LED light will blink slowly when the battery is low.
Modes
Pawz is programmed with two different modes:
Night-light Mode
and
Mindfulness Mode
. You can control the mode by using the
three-position power switch on the base.
