CLEANING THE NOZZLES
CLEANING THE NOZZLES
Check nozzle function regularly. If the nozzles lose performance or
become clogged, clean or replace the nozzles. To clean the
nozzles:
□
Remove the fan from the ceiling or unscrew mist ring cover
(MMM) from the top using a ladder. If removing from ceiling,
remove the hanger ball (RR) from the downrod (VV), and then
take out the canopy (B) and misting ring cover (D).
□
Remove nozzles (NNN) from the misting ring (E). Needle nose
pliers can be used if nozzles are stuck.
□
Soak the nozzles in white vinegar or a scale and lime remover
solution.
□
If, after soaking performance does not improve, the spring
valve nozzles (NNN) may need to be disassembled to remove
the spring (QQQ) and valve (RRR) from the inside. These may
have particulate in them causing poor nozzle performance.
□
After cleaning the nozzle, place the water tube (UU) onto the
misting ring (E) with an arrow marker (OOO).
□
Carefully reinstall the mist ring cover (MMM), being sure it
aligns with the tabs (PPP) on the mist ring cover (MMM) and
misting ring (E).
□
If cleaning does not help, replacement nozzles are available.
Call Customer Service (1-855-HD-HAMPTON) to order the
replacement nozzles.

WINTERIZING
WINTERIZING
If the fan is installed in a location that will experience below freezing temperatures, the mist system must be winterized to
prevent damage.
Steps:
1. Remove the water line from the pump and allow water to drain.
□
Depress the connector rings and then pull out water line to prevent damage.
2. Using compressed air, force the rest of the water out of the mist nozzles.
□
This can be done with a blow gun tool with pressure setting above 100 psi to ensure the nozzle valves open.
□
If access to compressed air is not an option, follow the nozzle cleaning procedure except, only remove one nozzle and tilt the
fan so that water gravity drains.
3. Drain remaining water from the pump and store pump indoors ensuring it is above freezing temperature to prevent damage.
